This Privacy Policy explains how MACATTING STUDIO collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit macatting.com or contact us. It is written in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

1. Who we are

macatting.com is operated by MACATTING STUDIO (SA0637944-M), a sole proprietorship. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean MACATTING STUDIO.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect only the following: - Contact form: your name, email address and message, and optionally your phone or WhatsApp number, what you need and your timeline. - Email: your email address and anything you write when you email hello@macatting.com. - WhatsApp: your phone number, WhatsApp name and messages, only if you choose to message us through the WhatsApp button. - Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time. Our hosting provider records these automatically when you visit. - Clients only: billing details (name, company, address, country and tax number) when we issue a quotation or invoice.

We do not ask for, and do not want to receive, sensitive personal data such as identity card numbers, health information or financial account details through this website.

3. How we use your personal data

We use your personal data only to: - reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, prepare a quotation; - deliver and invoice projects you engage us for; - keep the website running and protect it from abuse; - decide whether to show the WhatsApp button. We show it only to visitors in Malaysia and Singapore, based on the country of your IP address. The country is checked when the page loads and is not stored. - meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not use your data for marketing, we do not send newsletters, and we do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not embed social media widgets or third-party videos. Fonts are served from our own domain.

5. Data sharing and third parties

We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run the website and our email:

These providers store data outside Malaysia. We use only providers whose terms include data protection commitments. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.

6. Data retention

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted 12 months after our last contact with you.
  • Client billing records and invoices are kept for 7 years, as required by Malaysian tax law.
  • Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for its standard short period.

7. Your rights under the PDPA

You have the right to: - access the personal data we hold about you; - correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete; - withdraw your consent, or ask us to stop using your data for a purpose; - ask us to delete your data where we no longer need it.

To make a request, email hello@macatting.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within 21 days as required by the PDPA. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.

8. Security

This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). If a data breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
